for forward flexion to help reduce compression of the neck, and teaching participants how to keep the head aligned with the spine and back of the body, rather than the chest or front of the body.
1️⃣using a soft squishy ball, place it under the chin and don’t squeeze it, simply hold it in place. arms next to ears.
2️⃣on the exhale, initiate the roll up entry, cueing the ribs to drop and abdominals to engage whilst the head and upper spine peel off the table.
this modification can be used to help prepare the body for short box, the 100’s, the roll-up, anything where the head lifts. also very useful for teaching proper head positioning in chair torso press sit. give it a try, let me know what you think ! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
