Avengers: age of ultron (2015) 🎞
you can probably say that i have made this into full circle, welcome to my 300th review, it feels like i'm starting a new season.
another thing with sequels, they're just not as good as the first.
i was a 100% excited for this movie, i was more hyped to see ultron on the big screen, i was wanting to see these heroes come together again, and i had high expectations for this film.
then they kind of, went down.
2014 was a great year for marvel, then in 2015, marvel kind of downed their ways when they made this.
this movie was nowhere near as good as the first, besides that, this film had potential.
i remember when i was a little kid, i was watching a preview for a marvel animated movie, it was called next avengers: heroes of tomorrow, where the children of the avengers become superheroes after ultron killed them.
that was my first glimpse that ultron is horrifying and doesn't mess around.
then there was an episode of avengers: earth's mightiest heroes where ultron played a huge part in a couple episodes and was a threat, as he was also built by hank pym a.k.a. ant-man for keeping peace but then ultron turns on him and tries to k**l the avengers, in a darkly way. that was the ultron i wanted to see for this movie, but sadly only a little bit of that ultron came to be.
joss whedon probably added a bit too much humour into this movie, i know i probably said i love to laugh, i wanted this movie to be a bit dark and an improvement, but to be honest nothing can top the first avengers for me, the first one is personally one of my favourite marvel films, i live in canada, the avengers is the first and only movie i've seen in america, i really found it refreshing to watch a movie in the u.s. and just seeing the applause in the theatre whenever something hilarious happened and even at the end of the movie, that was really different for me because in canada, we don't applaud in theatres, lol, but laughing at funny scenes are a thing in movie theatres here in canada, that's why the avengers is special to me when i went to see it in florida, sadly the only state i ever been to in america.
