Today is the last day to ride it’s a small world holiday before it closes tomorrow to transform back to the original version of the attraction! the ride will open back up on february 2.
also, more refurbishment info 👉 the it’s a small world holiday mall (big area around the it’s a small world facade/entrance) will be getting an update! updates include moving the line queue, a “slightly adjusted” parade route entrance (the parades either enter from backlot next to it’s a small world or on main street), and there will be a new stroller parking area. all of these changes are being made in hopes to add more space to the mall area - everything is due to be complete by april 13, the day pixar fest and the pixar play parade begin at disneyland! but again, it’s a small world the attraction will remain open during these updates (opening february 2).
lastly, since we’re talking about refurbishments, we’ve had a lot of questions about whether it’s worth it to go to the parks right now because of all the updates and refurbishments. while some of the changes don’t look that aesthetically pleasing (walls up in lots of places), in our honest opinion, it still is worth it! lower crowds are always a plus, which is typically what you’ll get during this time (not always guaranteed, but slower than spring break and summer) and majority of the most beloved attractions are still open! so, all that said, we think it’s worth the trip and we think everyone going during this time will still have fun! 👍 just be sure to check disneyland’s refurbishment schedule and entertainment schedule on their website if there is something specific you’re hoping to do or see.
