When i was in college i realized that the best time for me to do homework was in the morning, before breakfast. so i started getting up at 4am. it helped me avoid the distractions that would always happen at night. no one is on social media at 4am, no one is going to walmart or waffle house at 4am, no one was trying to play soccer in the hallway at 4am. i found that i was far more productive from 4-7am than i could ever dream of being from 8-11pm. so i went to bed at 8pm, and got up at 4. lots of people would make fun of me, but i knew that it was beneficial for my situation at the time.
i’m starting to feel that way again. i feel like i waste too much time sleeping, when i could be so much more productive in chasing my dreams if i just got up earlier. a video i watched this evening put it all into perspective... “the way to get to freedom, is through discipline.” having the discipline to get out of bed when that early morning alarm rings is the first step. you have to win the battles to win the war.
just as an aside, this photo was taken at sunset, not sunrise. but be on the lookout for some sunrise photos coming soon!
