to when i was 13 years old and my life consisted almost entirely of pointe shoes, blisters, dance studios, and classical piano music 🎼 .
i spent a lot of time in the studio, at home, and on stage learning and practicing every detail of the art of ballet. but i didn’t just learn about ballet.
i learned that even when you think you can only give 100%, there’s always another 10% within you just waiting to be tapped into.
i discovered that it’s the days when you don’t feel like doing what you need to, but you get up and do it anyways - those are the days when limitations can become things of the past. those are the days when you realize that what you can and cannot do all depends on what’s in your mind.
i learned the power of repetition. every time you repeat something, you get a little more comfortable, a little more confident, stronger, and capable. and the more love and passion you have for what you’re doing and your ultimate goal, the more you’re willing to repeat the steps no matter how sick of them you are.
so ballet isn’t just a sport/artform. it’s actually a pretty good metaphor for life. you get out what you put in. your results match your passion, dedication, and determination. and talent and wishes won’t get you anywhere without work backing them up... 💖💖
