Sessions... while there are a lot of stylists who thrive on high impact change in one appt, i am not one of them. for my style, slow and steady wins the race. i get loads of messages that ask how much for this in one appt because they want to fly in and get this done.
let me be clear.. and i’m not saying this in a negative way because i’m flattered and awe of potential new clients that would go to so much trouble to come see me to achieve their hair goals.. i am not a one session stylist. much of what i do takes multiple appts. i don’t want someone to sit in my chair once. while it’s flattering, i’m looking for potential long term
clients to build relationships with while we work towards your goals. some days instagram feels a lot like tinder. i’m not the best choice for you if you’re not patient. i’m not the best choice for you if you’re looking for a groupon deal. i’m not the best choice for you if you don’t want to take care of your hair at home or come in for regular trims. it makes my job harder and thus you’re unhappy.
i enjoy getting to know my clients. i enjoy creating beautiful results for you with each appt.
i don’t want “tinder” clients. they generally have wondering eyes and are never happy. they tend to “chair hop” because “no one” can ever get their hair right. 🙄🤔 more often than not they want unrealistic things for their hair and won’t take guidance from us.
when i’m deciding to take a client i’m looking for keywords like “i understand it takes time” “the health of my hair is more important to me than trying to achieve this in one appt”
it’s building trust and getting to know each other while creating beautiful hair along the journey. that’s what matters to me.
i like to think of me as the “eharmony” of hair with clients not tinder. ❤️
