Happy thanksgiving! it's that time of the year when we count our blessings and remind ourselves of all the things that we are grateful for. we would like to say a big thank you to all you for following and sharing this journey with us. since we both live far away from our birth families, we’re very grateful to have beautiful friends who are our chosen family. these furry, mischievous monkeys also remind us of our family ties. as a little girl, i would travel to bali every year with my family from the age of 3 to 18. while there, my brother and i had a pet monkey that we named sara. that’s right, one of these adorable long tailed macaques would cuddle in the crook of my elbow, sit on my shoulder all day long and sometimes poop on my head when she was scared! 🐒🙇🏻♀️🤣 sara was very sweet and also very cheeky. i’d often find her shredding a book, stealing food, harassing locals or sometimes quietly cuddling with little kittens. pretty much all the shenanigans that every “normal” family goes through. here are a few fun moments from the #monkeyforrest
in ubud when @sofiephoenix
met her furry family for the first time! wishing you all a jubilant, gratitude filled weekend from the three of us! 👨👩👧 🙏🏼💛
