Greetings! for the past two years, our generous igersboston community has supported transition house @thousecambridge
with our gallery event and silent auction.
you've heard us talk about transition house and the critically important work this cambridge-based nonprofit organization does each day to support survivors of domestic violence. several people from the igers community have volunteered their skills and talents too. we're so impressed with the caliber of the staff and the excellent work they do every day.
i am pleased to invite you all to join transition house for an exciting and powerfully uplifting evening on on june 21st at mit @mitpics.
the event will spotlight the reveal of three original art installations featuring image, light and sound to illuminate their work to end domestic violence in entirely new ways. guests will also be invited to preview a series of short documentary videos in a special screening room.
we will also wish a fond farewell to risa mednick, the organization's executive director, as she prepares to leave transition house after ten years of deeply dedicated service.
you'll see familiar faces there too. @oscarealvarez
has graciously volunteered to photograph the event. and kerry kavanaugh @kerrykavanaugh
has volunteered to be the emcee.
