This girl loves sleep. did you know in first three months of a baby’s life, moms will lose an hour of sleep per night or more? it can be equally as hard to fall back asleep once you’ve fed baby, swaddled, and placed them back down, but now you’re staring at the ceiling wondering, “ok, why can’t i sleep now?!”
here’s my secret trick: get up out of bed, throw on some sweatpants, and leave the bedroom completely, or sit in a chair within the room. try using a book light to read a magazine or book, but try to refrain from exciting tv shows or social media apps. once you’re feeling tired and even somewhat uncomfortable, return back to bed, where you’re likely have an easier time falling back asleep now than you would have been just lying there quietly wishing your body to sleep.
of course, none of this can be possible without a comfortable mattress to start with. we chose the @purple
