it was our 14 year wedding anniversary while we were in sydney so we booked ourselves into a special dinner at @tetsuyasydney.
each dish from the degustation menu below was exquisite. also, the truffle butter that came with the bread was worth the price of admission below! so much so we ate 4 tubs of it! 🍽
we’d like to say a huge thank you to the tetsuya management who organised a tour of the kitchen for us. phat jr especially got a massive kick out of that and it helped make it an experience we will never forget !!! 🍽
roasted scampi tail with vanilla .
tuna with daikon and wasabi .
confit of ocean trout with salad of apple and witlof (**signature dish**) .
queensland murray cod with confit fennel and young garlic .
duck b****t with jerusalem artichokes and barley
wagyu beef sirloin with chestnut mushroom and wa truffle .
cucumber and finger lime sorbet with crème fraiche
chocolate stone with honey & milk .
Another $12.80 lunch special - chicken laksa. flavourwise, the soup was a bit watery and light on in flavour, also a bit too spicy. chicken was tender and overall it was a fairly large bowl, but probably not a dish i'd order again.
ming's pantry has far better laksa (albeit a bit pricier)
