People travel for different reasons, some to eat, some to explore, some to shop but wait, that’s not the topic today. this one is all about luxury, totally inspired by fellow instagrammers @thewanderpedia
‘s post. me being the budget traveller that i am, i’ve to admit i never started off like that. from staying in hardrock hotels to finding my bed in hostels, my travelling style has shifted with changing priorities.
from travelling once every year to deciding to travel four times a year means giving up on so many things. from shopping to going to theatres, everything had to change. this, picture is thus a reminder of how things have changed.
so, during my last travels i woke up in the morning to stroll and of course take pictures of empty alleys. and tadaa, out of nowhere i had this urge to go have a breakfast in a fancy restaurant by the water front... the restaurant was just opening, but most of all my husband was fast asleep back in the hostel. i could have dragged him along or even gone by myself and had my cozy fancy breakfast but instead i found my luxury on a crooked bridge, sat there with the best views munching on my backup snacks yet feeling on top of the world. as you grow older, you realise how even the simplest of things can give you a great deal of joy. being able to have the freedom to even wander by yourself is a luxury
