I know this is a high priestess card but today i still want to talk about the moon, and i love the secret tarot depiction of it, as if the two cards have merged into this beautiful image (#themoon
are closely related as they both represent the unknown in one way or another). they both also indicate that we must rely on our intuition to see through what’s hidden from us. truth be told, i have great difficulty to talk about the high priestess, it’s always been a card which leaves me silent, unsure of myself. it’s a highly spiritual card (happily not religious) and i tend to see myself as a brick, so maybe that’s why. so i’ll talk about the moon again, mentioning one of its meanings which is less spoken about: its cyclical nature. the cycles of the moon tells us that everything has its own time and we shouldn’t grow impatient. let me tell you about mr k who’s often at my local cafe having a cup of tea. he’s 85 and still has a massive amount of hair on top of his head. you’ll never guess, but for the first fifteen years of his life he only had two eggs. he was an orphan and grew up in children’s homes where apparently they were eggless. these days he has eggs very often to make up for the lost time. cycles. all in its time. there’s a time to have eggs, and there’s a time to be eggless. incidentally, i think my time to be eggless is approaching as i’m thinking about becoming a vegan. but i digress. .
