Patiala chicken 😋😋
its a north indian cuisine and every dhaba or a restaurant in and nearby punjab is famous for serving this.. hope you like it share it and lick your fingers till the end.. chicken cleaned and washed 800 gms
a dry powder made by roasting
1 tsp fennel seeds
2 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 bay leaf
5 dry red chilli.. 1 tbsp of 5 spice powder to be added to this dry roasted mix.. keep aside.
if 5 spice pwd not available make your own by roasting
1 cinnamom stick
1 black cardamom
4 green cardamom
6 black peppercorns
1 star anise.. grind them to a powder.. the mix of 5 spice and all roasted seeds is your patiyala powder.. you wont need any other spices other than kashmiri red chilli pwd.
now marinate chicken in 2 tbsp yogurt salt kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tbsp ginger paste and 1 tbsp garlic paste.. refrigerate for 30 mins.
in a pan add 2 tbsp oil and fry 2 medium onion chopped till a shade less than very dark brown.. add 1 chopped tomato and 1/2 tsp turmeric.. cook till oil seperates.. add the marinated chicken along with the prepared masala 11/2tsp
