'the road less traveled (because the car company told us not to)'
we discussed our options:
1. stick to the highway & go around the fjordland, stick to where the map is marked, stay safe in knowing where we're going.
2. out the car in 1st and climb.
there was no choice.
inspiration is the brother of curiosity & the sister of discovery.
so we climbed & climbed & climbed, the colliding winds blowing the car across the narrow dirt road as we stared to the bottom of the valley, hoping we didn't plummet to our untimely deaths. every push on the accelerator felt like a roll of the dice in a game of snakes and ladders.
but then there it was. at the peak of the road less traveled was the most beautiful landscape i have ever seen with my own two eyes.
being offered the job to take this portrait of 'god' has been one of the most fortunate & fulfilling moments of my creative career (the flat tyre on the way down made it all the sweeter).
