Around a half decade ago i stumbled upon a photo of drangarnir on instagram. so perfect in its design, i assumed the seastack was an edit, dreamt up by adventurer trapped at a desk job… but it was real. that photo cemented faroe islands on my bucket list from that moment.
in my endless hours daydreaming for this trip i stumbled upon @saviourmifsud
on instagram and he agreed to join me on the hike.
within an hour of landing in the faroe islands we were trekking toward drangarnir. avoiding the ever-present presents from sheep we made our across beaches and cliffsides- discussing our home politics, fish farms and favorite photographers (@chrisburkard
about a million times i mentioned how this all felt like a daydream, like i was a character in an epic by tolkien- trekking through an epic landscape as the wind bit my cheeks.
p.s. definitely go follow @saviormifsud
on instagram, but don’t be mad at me if you end up booking a flight…
