A good warm up should increase the temperature within your muscles. this increase in core temperature makes muscles more pliable, increases the range of motion around your joints, and leads to better performance in explosive movements.
perform dynamic stretching exercises to prepare for any sprinting activities. static stretching before can hinder performance and may cause injuries.
i perform 5 minutes on the bike slightly increasing the intensity throughout, then perform my dynamic stretches focusing on the muscles i will be using during my session. i like to do the same for sprint and strength training sessions. then perform either sprint drills or warm up sets depending on session type.
