Sunday bumday 🐳  I usually always reserve Sundays for a niiice killer leg workout to start off the week right. I haven’t lifted the past couple days though to rest my lower back so I can pretty much hit any muscle group today🤷🏻‍♀️ choiicess

Living in south Florida means only owning cropped long sleeves ~ but actually I changed into leggings waking up to 65 degrees feels cold to me🤣 enjoy ya Friday everyone 💓 .

“I don’t want to lift heavy I’ll get bulky” has got to be the most common thing I hear as a trainer. But if we look at the image above we can see that the space fat/muscle take up is much different, so the bulk is really just pounds of fat on top of your muscle. Although the scale is a good way to measure success it isn’t the end all be all and can be misleading.

Let’s says in 2 months of working out you lost 8 pounds  of fat but also gained 2 pounds of muscle, the scale will only reflect a 6 pound loss in weight when in reality you’ve lost 8lbs, inches and had a drop in overall body fat % (check 2nd image).

Don’t be a slave to the scale, take progress pics, observe how your clothes fit and how you feel overall as an indication of progress. You didn’t gain this weight in a month stop trying to lose it all in a month, consistency & commitment!

Wow was I UNMOTIVATED for today’s workout. I hit legs tonight and did not want to go to the gym one bit. I’m motivated for my workouts maybe 10% of the time. The other 90% is discipline ☑️ I get asked alllll the time how I stay motivated and go to the gym every day. Wellll I’m here to tell you that I’m not lol. When I first started my fitness journey I was disciplined, consistent, and created a habit of going to the gym and it’s just stuck with me!

I tell myself that skipping a workout, skipping cardio, eating more than I’m supposed to, isn’t going to get me any closer to my goals. You have to work hard for what you want and if you REALLY want it- then that’s exactly what you’ll do!
