Theres a 1.5 year difference between these two photos. Progress takes time, nothing worth having in life comes easy. Perseverance is a major key to success; being able to remain disciplined, determined and consistent will get you far in life, not just in fitness. A lot of people arent happy with their bodies but the biggest problem is setting unrealistic goals. They key is setting small goals. I wanted to tone up my tummy, given I have an injury to both legs cardio has been a struggle for me for a few years now. So instead of setting a “quick” goal in the gym and doing a ton of cardio to drop weight and tone up, I set one in the kitchen. In the left I weighed the heaviest Ive been, 145lbs... I promised myself Id clean up my diet. I didnt look to see what others were eating and what worked for them because I know my body is different. I did research. I looked up nutritional facts on everything I ate and now im down to 115lbs. While I dont love being this small I reached my goal. I toned my tummy. I learned a little and took it as far as I could. First I changed my diet then I started adding in the ab exercises. I think a huge barrier other than setting unrealistic goals is trying to change to many variables at once. As humans were programmed to struggle with change, dont make the struggle harder by trying to move to faster than your body can adjust. Just like you need time to wake up and get moving in the morning, your body needs time to adjust to the imposed demands. Start small. If youre not seeing results quickly, dont give up because I promise you the results are waiting on the other side of your effort. Be consistent. Give yourself time. Be steady. We all wanna become better but we need to learn to enjoy the journey as much as the results. Being able to enjoy the journey will make the results so much sweeter. When you get the body youve always wanted youll be unstoppable, youll have unapologetic confidence in your body, mind and soul. “Your results are a mirror of the effort you put in” think of it as a race...youve all heard slow and steady wins the race... set realistic goals, educate yourself and make the moves. If I can do it, you can too...☺️💪🏽💫

The full squat clean is an awesome way to develop power, strength and speed
......................................................................
• the third pull or throw forces the litter to generate maximal strength very rapidly strength X speed= power
• the lifter must then just as rapidly drop below the bar into a deep squat and “catch” the weight
• The combination of accelerating and decelerating the weight followed by standing up out of the squat make for awesome strength gains.
