Today i'm here being completely honest, open and real! because that's who i am 🤗🤗
facetune is a controversial thing.
let's be honest, most of us use it!!
it's a great tool to make our skin look a little softer, the makeup to stand out, to erase some pimples, or to intensify the highlight. 99% of instagrammers or youtubers use it to make their skin flawless and repost worthy as they say.
that doesn't means that their skin is horrible or that it's faking it. it's more of a marketing strategy.
the bad thing comes when you over use it!!! please stop erasing your nose, eyeshadow, and basically everything! it's to do touch ups as any professional photographer would do un photoshop, not to try and make a plastic surgery through a cellphone application.
here is an example of a raw pic and an edited one.
basically i just:
- smooth a little my smile lines, forehead and chin. sometimes on my chest if it looks weird. (almost never smooth my cheeks because i don't need it)
- depending on the pose and the lighting i intensify my highlight - i use detail on the eyes (sometimes on the jewelry or hair)
- i whiten the background
if you have good lighting this touch ups aren't even necessary most of the time, because the lights will basically erase all the texture in your skin.
remember is all about the lights and the angles. but if you want to fix soemthing just don't go overboard 😘
and most importantly, you are beautiful with or without facetune. the quality of a photo or the smooth skin of a filter doesn't shows who you are or your worth. your personality and your realness does!! be your own kind of perfect! 🤗
