First off, @ljbrowning2013 delts are looking legit. Second, she is a grinder and won’t mind the critique, she knows that’s what I do and knows it will help her and others.

Single Arm KB/DB Rows:
We want to target the mid and lower Lat and less on the upper back and trap. That being said they will get some work.
*
If you notice the Red line, you can see that the angle from her shoulders to her feet is pretty wide. Resulting in a pull that puts more emphasis on the trap and upper back. That’s not a bad thing, it’s just a coaching point.
*
Ideally we want the line from the shoulders to the hips to be parallel resulting in closer to a 90 degree angle when talking relation to shoulder and the foot i.e the Green Line.
*
This will allow the scapula to glide along the rib cage and allow you to really work the lat in the horizontal plane.
*
Try it, you will like it.

Although my Crossfit days are behind me, I still try to work in 2 conditioning based training days per week. These days are more mono structured with running, rowing,etc.

In order to continually push the volume up, my athletes have to have the engine to support it.

At last years @powerathletehq symposium I was humbled by how much I sucked at walking lunges. They are getting better, but I still hear @thelukesummers and the staff telling me my steps is too long and too narrow. I’ll get there eventually.

The RDL is and has always been a β€œgo-to” for me following squats. Not to say I always do them (that would be boring), but they are never absent more than a week or two.

Really isolate the Hamstrings and low back w/minimal quad involvement.
*
*
Remember we are not locking out the knees, That is a Stiff-leg Deadlift and that’s for another day.
*
Drive your a$$ back, keeping a rigid spine and feel that pull of the hamstrings.
*
Remember it’s a pull, use the hamstrings to PULL yourself back to the standing position.
