🙏🌿🍃devlang🍃🌿, traditional festival of garhwal himalayas🌁....
in garhwal we celebrate diwali, after one month of actual hindu calender diwali, we call it bagwal/mangsiri bagwal....📯📯🎑
in gair and koti villages of banal patti, uttarkashi....day after bagwal is celebrated as devlang, which means dev+lang, dev = god and lang = a long log...✨🌟
devlang, a deodar🌲🌲🌲 tree is cut by the villagers and brought near the temple 🌞, then dry wood is tied around that tree...........after that tree is moved from its position to fix it in a hole in front of the temple, so it can stand still and then villagers light it.
devlang is celebrated🎉🎊 by the 52 villages of banal patti......26 villages on one side and 26 on other.......they play holding sticks and fire torches 🎆🎆prepared from deodar wood.....sometimes things get violent. villagers come to the temple with beats of traditional music dhol, damau and ransingha.....📢📢📯
temple of raja👑👑 raghunath ji.....
