One does not simply 👌 get through the night shift without getting tired. so how do you survive it? 🤷♀️ no clue, but here are some tips and tricks that have helped me..
get a good work out 💪 in to increase your metabolism, release endorphins and improve your physical/mental energy.
take a freaking nap 💤 before your shift. no explanation needed.
whip up a quick nutritious meal 🥙 and grub before you head out the door. bring any leftovers with you. don’t forget some fruit 🍓 and stay hydrated.
take them! i take a super b-complex supplement 💊 and b-12 to help convert food into glucose, which gives you energy.
obviously. i grab a cup of joe omw to work or i bring @yogitea
🍵 packets in my snack bag. sometimes i take a caffeine tablet (200mg) and it gets the job done. i’m also that person who brews a fresh p*t of coffee in the med room at 4am. anything to survive, right? 💀
now, i don’t always get to do everything i just mentioned. there are times where i’ve been sleeping all day, wake up right before my shift, get ready, leave, and not eat for the first time until 10pm. 😬 life ain’t perfect and i sure as hell am not. give your body time to adjust and recover. i hope these tips helped and would love to hear what you do to survive the graveyard shift! ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇɴᴛ ʙᴇʟᴏᴡ ☟
