a gt2 rs in racing yellow. racing yellow (1s1/racinggelb) is a contemporary porsche yellow. it was made available for the 2011 launch of the 991 generation 911. while it’s a standard option on most 911s, it has big shoes to fill: when racing yellow came on the scene, it replaced the iconic speed yellow. don’t let the fact that racing yellow is a standard option on many 911s fool you. having been worn by the 918, 911r, and of course, many gt cars and other 911s, it’s very likely to earn its own place in the history books when its official availability ends. this gt2 rs wears racing yellow proudly, taking a different approach from some of the other gt2 rss we’ve looked at. from the top it’s performance oriented so the build starts with the weissach package and magnesium wheels. inside it has a leather interior with extensive, extended leather (front and rear cabin) with yellow stitching throughout. the ac vents are leather wrapped with the slats themselves painted in racing yellow. door sills were done in carbon fiber and are illuminated. but all of that’s only the start of the spec. on the arrival of this machine, the owner had special plans: additional components were painted in matching racing yellow, including the fire extinguisher, seat belt inserts, front lip script, and even a @gmgracing
roll cage. custom floor mats were done by @droid6.
if this gt2 rs looks more aggressive than normal, that’s because it is. the owner setup the factory adjustable suspension to lower the body of the car. and this gt2 rs is also tuned, outputting 725 horsepower to the wheels. what a beast! thanks for sharing your amazing machine @carswatchesnmore
