What do your push-ups look like?! (Please donโ€™t say top video)

Remember before you start any push-ups you should:
โœ… Push you chest away from the floor
โœ…Draw your shoulder blades together and down
โœ… Pull your chin in/make sure your head is in line with your spine with a neutral focus (not looking forward)
โœ… Pull your ribs together and down

When rowing it is important to stabilize the spine, maintaining both good posture and proper alignment as well as minimizing โ€œwild movementsโ€ at the shoulder joint. Think about sitting tall, drawing your chin back, shoulder blades pulled slightly back and down, ribs connection, abdominals engaged BEFORE YOU START the exercise!

Posture and alignment will always surpass heavy bands or weights.

Chest Openers for better posture!

Iโ€™ll be honest: I did NOT preplan this series. I just was feeling a little tight so I grabbed the foam roller, started moving, and pushed record (this is the sped up and shortened version). I did however feel MUCH better after and need to continue to add this into my routine!

For a less aggressive version, I would recommend starting on a full length foam roller OR laying flat on the floor.
