DEPLETION: The state of being depleted; exhaustion.
We are depleting ourselves by not honouring what our needs are. 
I say no to invitations when needed because I do not like feeling overly busy. I have cut out things that do not serve me like drama, toxic people, stress, and comparison because all that shit is all poison. 
Bottom line we are depleted ourselves of true healing.

I prioritize things like healthy food, sleep, time out on nature and herbal teas. This is how I fill my cup?

This isn’t a before and after it’s a front and back of my current body.
⠀⠀
I’m not ashamed or sad about my body I love it! I worked hard for it, I lost over 200 pounds NATURALLY. I’m strong and I’m healthy. BUT that doesn’t mean I don’t want to improve some things.
⠀⠀
My hips will always be wide, my big ass will always be GENETICALLY big... I carry all of my fat in my ass these days. My husband loves it... I do not. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I try hard to appreciate where I am because of where I come from, I also am willing to put the work in to get where I want to be. ⠀⠀ I joined my husband on his prep to support him but also to get the support I need to achieve my ultimate goal.  Suffering together is better than suffering alone right? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I haven’t prepped in 3 years so this will be interesting but so far it’s going well.  I’m not getting on a stage I’m prepping to be the proud screaming wife in the audience and I want to look perfect for him doing just that! ❤️

Cannot believe that in a month we will be here. Saint Thomas is one of Lou and my favorite vacation places. We were able to do this through helping so many others on their health journey. Here’s the realization I made today as I meditated-
The reason (some) people don’t take the well-intentioned advice you give them at a time when they’re going through a difficult period is because they’re allowing their ego to get in the way.
.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve gone through the exact thing that they’re currently going through.
It doesn’t matter if you went from struggling to thriving.
No matter what you tell them in order to try to help them, their ego is the reason they’re not willing to listen to you.
.
In a nutshell, having a big ego is the reason you can go from having really good things happen to you, to all of a sudden being down on your luck. And if you don’t do anything to put your ego in check, your ego will overtime be the reason of your downfall.
.
I’ve given so many people so much (golden) advice in the past and most of them decided to not follow it. For years I couldn’t understand why. And today I got my answer as I meditated.
.
How I can help them best is by only listening to them (not giving them my valuable 2 cents). If they have a big ego, the only way they’ll learn their lessons is by falling. Their answers will come when they hit rock bottom because it takes being at the bottom for you to start seeing things differently because you’re thinking differently. Hitting rock bottom humbles you & a humbled soul has the power to destroy the ego.
.
Some people think that the world is against them. Or that they’re very unlucky. Neither is true. It’s their ego that’s getting in their way.
.
Everything you want is on the other side and how you get there is by letting go of your ego.
Change your thoughts & your situation changes.

MEATBALLS 🥩
Some of you have asked me if I eat meat and the answer is YES!! We’ve always eaten red meat (lamb, beef, pork...) and lean meat (chicken and turkey) at home. It’s an excellence source of protein and provides many vitamins and minerals which our body needs to work well. The problem is when we consume too much processed meat (bacon, salami, sausages...) as they are often high in saturated fat and salt and provide very little in the way of minerals and vitamins. ❗️I try to eat less meat but better quality ✅

This weekend was the first time I made meatballs and this has been the result!

Ingredients: ✔️250g lamb mince ✔️1 garlic clove, grated✔️1 onion, chopped ✔️1 bunch of mint, chopped✔️1/2 dried thyme ✔️1/2 tbsp cumin seeds ✔️ 1 tin of diced tomatoes

Make the meatballs: Put the lamb mince in a mixing bowl with half the onion and half the mint. Add a pinch of salt and some pepper, then mix together with your hands until well combined. Shape into meatballs and place them in the oven until brown. You can also cook them in a frying pan.

For the sauce: Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a frying pan on medium heat and add the remaining onion, garlic, cumin seeds and thyme. Cook, stirring until soft and pour the diced tomatoes. Add a pinch of salt and pepper and simmer the sauce until thick. 
Add the meatballs already cooked to the sauce and serve them with couscous, rice or anything you like!

I had such a great Midsummer this year. In Sweden Midsummer is kinda big deal, maybe even bigger than Christmas.. This year I was fortunate to celebrate it alongside four amazing and smart women. Together we shared very tasty food, a little bit of wine, a divine cake, lots of laughter and great talks!

Garlic and Herb Squash Stir Fry
Ingredients:
3/4 cup zucchini, sliced (1 1/2 Greens)
3/4 cup cabbage or yellow squash, sliced (1 1/2 Green)
7 oz shrimp or 6 oz chicken, cooked (1 Lean)
1 tbsp light butter - I like Land 'O Lakes light butter spread with canola oil with 5 grams of fat (1 Healthy Fat)
2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash Garlic and Herb Seasoning (2 Condiments)
1 tbsp parmesan cheese, grated (1 Condiment)
Dash of salt or pepper (optional)
Cooking spray
Directions:
Spray skillet that has a cover with cooking spray. Over medium high heat, melt butter in the heated skillet. Add veggies and stir fry for several minutes until the veggies are tender crisp. Add shrimp or chicken, water, and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes or until desired doneness. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
1 Lean, 3 Greens, 3 Condiments, and 1 Healthy Fat (you will need to add 1 more healthy fat if using shrimp)
