When I became pregnant with Bella my gut issues were like no other. After having her it didn’t get much better. Years of testing and more health issues arose. I ended up finding out I had Lyme Disease some doctors still want to say it is MCAS. ⁣

I am in my position because Western Medicine turned there back on me. I know I am not the only one. This was my only option. I am glad it was because I am so much healthier now then I ever was before and now I am awaken. 🙏🏽 ⁣

“After months of posting for advice on here {KUF Facebook Community}, I gave birth on October 15th via successful VBAC!! The simplicity and laid out schedule of this program helped me to stay active throughout the end of my pregnancy, which I knew was important for VBAC. Even though my doctor required an epidural for VBACs, I progressed all the way until 9cm until my doctor asked for the epidural, which was not my goal, but I felt incredibly proud of! I felt so much more confident, connected to and in control of my body this time around! I knew so much more about how to push and only pushed for about 30 minutes! I've been so empowered by this birth, my postpartum mood is SO much better than my first birth, and I've been elated ever since! Detox baths are my secret weapon when it comes to this season. Whenever my kids are not feeling well they get these special bath times and we make a habit of at least once or twice a week having one as well. The other thing I like about detox bathes are they are super easy and barely cost more than a couple of dollars.

To create your own detox bath you’ll need
• Good quality epsom salt
• Himalayan sea salt (optional)
• Baking soda (optional)
• Immune supporting essential oils

What works best for me is to create my epsom salt and Himalayan salt mix (50/50) ahead of time. I then take out a cup at a time, add my oils and add to a warm bath. To be really effective you should stay in the water for at least twenty minutes.

Here are some of fav combos!
• Kick the ick: 2 drops of Balance, Lavender, Tea Tree and Lemon.
• Relax: 3 drops each of Serenity and Balance
• Breathe better: Two to three drops of Eucalyptus, Lemon and Frankincense
• Sore and strained: Two drops of AromaTouch, Copaiba and lemongrass.

Anyway real point I took this picture because I thought I looked cute and wanted to see if I really did. The mirror wasn’t good enough I needed a phone to help me judge because that’s what we do is judge ourselves and each other on social media. ⁣⁣

I know that when people say things to you it’s a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves. There is a lot of people out in the world who are very judgmental. Snickering around you or behind your back about the way you eat or who you are as a person. Saying cruel hurtful things about your weight or the way you live. Maybe some say certain people don’t like you because you are a certain way. Constantly judging your every move.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s hurtful and no matter how much truth you know you constantly need to remind yourself it is not you. That you pray for those people to find love and peace because those negative people really hurt society. They are too good for you and anyone who doesn’t directly benefit them. I honestly wouldn’t care but there is someone else in this picture. A little girl who is viewing the world with her own eyes.⁣⁣

A little girl who I need to teach to be strong when strength is something I feel I don’t have all the time. I have to demonstrate patience and teach her right from wrong when I don’t always do the right things myself. It’s hard in this world especially since it’s seems so very cold to some more than others. ⁣⁣

In the mist of my fears she turns to me and saids,” Mommy no one wants to see your belly.” I laugh and want to cry because I don’t know if she is being protective of me or I have been too protective of her. We are not perfect but we all need to strive and be better because there is a future out there watching all of us. ⁣⁣It might not be the post you wanted to see but I hope it is the post you needed to hear. 🖤⁣

So...started something new today.. @rob_taylor_fitness 8 week lean. i was in the gym (aka. out house) for 5am.. mainly due to a rubbish nights sleep but i did my first workout and did weights for the first time in a long time. loved it!! excited to see what happens in the next few weeks x

A year ago I wouldn't have even CONSIDERED packing up all 3 kids and taking them on a short trip by myself. But today? I bathed in CBD🤣🤣 and said let's go! Just kidding. I threatened them with staying home up until they actually DID get in the car🤪  I just felt a sense of calm..umongst the chaos. And if you've ever experienced anxiety you know this is relieving. Tomorrow may be different but today for a few hours, I was just able to watch my babies laugh and run and explore. Kissing each of them as we got back into the car to head home I just felt so incredibly grateful to be their mama❤ I won't always act perfectly but I will always love them fiercely.

When I was first asked about starting a business with Arbonne I was a HUGE no❌ Yes, I LOVED the products and what the company stood for but I was doing what I loved...had just opened my fitness studio and “running a real business” + making an impact and empowering women in my community, my husband had a good job that paid enough to cover our bills + go on a few vacations each year and we were living pretty comfortably. But that’s just it. We were comfortable.

After almost 3 years of being one foot in and one foot out, treating it like a cute little hobby and putting it at the bottom of my priorities I’ve finally had a shift and I’m ALL IN!! 🙌🏼 I’m all in because it’s selfish of me not to. It’s depriving my family of more freedom, opportunities + choices. It’s depriving other women from seeing what’s possible for their lives and teaching them how to do the same thing, it’s depriving countless people from gaining their lives back through their health. 
Yes, it’s scary but I’m willing to make a risk. I’m willing to risk being misunderstood because people might see me as a “product salesperson” but it’s so much GREATER + BIGGER than that. Of course, as a business owner, I do what I do for financial benefits but more than anything it’s about what it gives me. It gives me a vehicle 🚙 to create change. To create an impact in other people’s lives. To empower other people to not settle for comfortable. To show them that it is SO WORTH IT!! It’s worth the hard work. 
My mission and my purpose today is so much bigger than it was 3 years ago. Maybe you enjoy what you do and your living a good life. A comfortable life. But don’t be afraid to leave good for G R E A T!! If you’ve had a tug on your ❤️ and you find yourself wondering if you have a bigger purpose and if you can make a bigger impact, listen to it. Maybe Arbonne’s for you and maybe it’s not but I’m looking for people that have that tug and are willing to work for it. If you’re just a little curious about this “Arbonne thing” I’d love to just chat.

Here’s the thing. It’s not about the 6 pack, or some “goal weight”. It’s  about leaning in when things get hard, and just showing up a little bit better than you were yesterday.

Half way through lunch I remembered to take a pic! Avocado salad, tofu salad and a packing duck rice paper roll that was already consumed. I was very hungry as I didn't have morning tea as I normally do so I ended up having a piece of toast when I came home too!

Oh hey there, I’m Trish and as of today I’m becoming a hermit 😬 I’m really trying my best to cope alone with my boys but golly sometimes I come pretty close to cracking. Mostly when we’re out in public - hence the wanting to be a hermit bit 🤣

But you know what I’ve found interesting? The mentally that other mums cope so why can’t you? It’s a story our society has conditioned me to tell myself and one the hubster has also mentioned. 
But you know what? I’m here ready to acknowledge that sometimes I really am not coping with it. While society has told us that it’s a Mum’s job to raise the kids, to run the house, to be everything to anything to everyone, I’m gonna put up my hand and call a big BS to that. Because you know what? Women of the past might have been able to do it all but they never did it alone. 
And we just aren’t supposed to ‘Mum’ alone. As tribal creatures, humans have always had support close to hand and the fact is today that many of us live away from close friends and family meaning we’re more isolated than ever. And then we feel the push (whether intrinsic or extrinsic) to get back to work ASAP and for our body’s to ‘bounce back’. So the pressures mount and mount until we’re stressed and depleted and just running on empty. 
What a load of big old crapola. 
So I’m choosing not to subscribe to this notion anymore. I am choosing not to even think of trying to be anything and everything to anyone. I’m ready to acknowledge when I’m not coping and when my brain (or anyone) tries to tell me that other women do it so surely I can too I’ll be ready to politely shut the door in their face. Oh hey there, i’m trish and as of today i’m becoming a hermit 😬 i’m really trying my best to cope alone with my boys but golly sometimes i come pretty close to cracking. mostly when we’re out in public - hence the wanting to be a hermit bit 🤣

but you know what i’ve found interesting? the mentally that other mums cope so why can’t you? it’s a story our society has conditioned me to tell myself and one the hubster has also mentioned.
but you know what? i’m here ready to acknowledge that sometimes i really am not coping with it. while society has told us that it’s a mum’s job to raise the kids, to run the house, to be everything to anything to everyone, i’m gonna put up my hand and call a big bs to that. because you know what? women of the past might have been able to do it all but they never did it alone.
and we just aren’t supposed to ‘mum’ alone. as tribal creatures, humans have always had support close to hand and the fact is today that many of us live away from close friends and family meaning we’re more isolated than ever. and then we feel the push (whether intrinsic or extrinsic) to get back to work asap and for our body’s to ‘bounce back’. so the pressures mount and mount until we’re stressed and depleted and just running on empty.
what a load of big old crapola.
so i’m choosing not to subscribe to this notion anymore. i am choosing not to even think of trying to be anything and everything to anyone. i’m ready to acknowledge when i’m not coping and when my brain (or anyone) tries to tell me that other women do it so surely i can too i’ll be ready to politely shut the door in their face. for my own mental health if nothing else. you’re welcome to join me #leaveyourexpectationsatthedoor 💁🏻 🚪

Mango + Coconut 🥭🥥🍞

Part of creating a healthier home has meant streamlining a lot of what I have on hand in the kitchen! No more ready made, packaged meals, or cake mixes. It’s all from scratch using the best quality ingredients I can get my hands on.

But I also don’t like throwing things out + being wasteful. So my mission last night was so use up a whole heap of overripe mangoes, coconut cream and almost-finished baking goods. You don’t always need a recipe - just some intuitive baking and you can turn scraps into something delish 😋

What I used 👇🏼
🌱 1 cup plain wholemeal flour
🌱 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
🌱 2 tsp baking powder
🌱 1/2 cup dessicated coconut
🌱 1/4 cup coconut oil
🌱 1/4 cup coconut cream
🌱 1/2 cup brown sugar
🌱 1/4 cup coconut sugar
🌱 3 eggs
🌱 1.5 cups mango (I cut up and blended flesh of 2 mangoes)

How I used them 👇🏼
👩🏼‍🍳 Combine dry ingredients
👩🏼‍🍳 In a seperate bowl, mix oil, coconut cream, sugars then add eggs
👩🏼‍🍳 Add wet to dry then mix through mango
👩🏼‍🍳 Bake in lined loaf tin at 180 degrees for 35 mins

I want her to see her mama kicking butt and know that she can too. I did it! I hit over 100oz of water by 6pm! 🕺🏻 Pre-baby, I always tried to get 100oz a day, but between taking care of a newborn and running after a toddler all day, I often forget about making sure I’m drinking enough water. So I’m celebrating the win today! Getting in enough water during the day can be really hard. My advice, ditch the fancy, cute water bottles for a massive one like the this one in my 2nd photo. Sure it’s not the cutest, but it’s 32oz and I can carry it all around the house. Don’t want plastic? Grab a 32oz mason jar and drill a hole through the lid for your straw! Either way, having a huge water bottle really makes all the difference for me.

"people underestimate their capacity for change. there is never a perfect time to do a difficult thing." but, as you can see, the cool thing is that you can actually do that difficult thing if you make the decision to go for it!
these photos were taken 10 months apart after i decided to go for it. 😍 thomas wasn't sleeping through the night, i was busy rushing around to two different school drop offs and pick ups while juggling julia's appointments, breastfeeding and nap schedules, building a business, caring for two dogs, and a husband gone 12+ hours a day for work. i could have easily given into my excuses, but instead i took it one day at a time and committed to care for my family and myself.

so often though, i hear moms say "i do want to make my health a priority, i just need more sleep/time/money first." or "i'm so busy right now.....but next month i should have more time to devote to myself so i'd love to start then." i get it! but i can also tell you from experience that life doesn't slow down and sleep, time, and money will always be fleeting 🤷‍♀️ i don't tell you these things about my life because i want to brag or have you congratulate me.....i share because i am just like you and i hope you can find inspiration from me sharing and you realize that you can do it too ❤
we all have the same amount of time in the day. we all have a billion things pulling us in all directions. if you want something, make it happen! there's no magic pill or formula; no easy way out.

Love on a Celery Soup, and it will surely love you back 🥰 There is no dairy in this... I repeat... no dairy! And also... completely vegetarian. I simply boiled a bunch of chopped celery with one chopped large potato, a sprinkle of garlic powder, a shake of onion powder, and a vegetable bouillon cube... (enough water just to cover) for 20-25 mins, until veg was very soft. Removed a ladle full of celery for garnish... then hit with an immersion blender until smooth. (A mostly cooled mixture/regular blender would work too)! I seasoned with salt & pepper, then garnished with my kitchen-grown fresh parsley & black pepper. Would be SO good with turkey bacon bits... next time 😉 *Very friendly to the @ww Purple Plan. I track this as virtually Zero Points. •

Seaweed salad, with a variety of seaweeds tonight 🎉 because we ordered from a New Place. This salad comes with the “regular” marinated seaweeds plus the red kind, the dark green kind, and the hairy lighter green kind. Kind of an upgrade, really. We added it to a salad of romaine, roasted  carrots, scallions, cucumbers, celery, avocado. So good, and we didn’t miss not including fish. We just aren’t eating nearly as much animal protein these days... and are feeling great. Have a super start to your week! It’s cozy season, so snuggle up. #fitwithflare

My foster puppies just left so I am wanting a little comfort.  A hot bowl of Pho is an easy way to warm my body while providing much needed comfort and nourishment. *
Cilantro is great at removing toxins, especially heavy metals

The heat of the soup allows my body to not work so hard at digestion.  This maximizes the nutrients released into the bloodstream to fuel my body

Limes are alkaline vs lemons which are acidic. An alkaline environment encourages healing. Special note. Never cook with lime as then our bodies cannot buffer the acid. Squeezing it on fresh just before you are ready to eat is best. It allows the fresh sweet taste to come through.

1) My daughter asked me if I knew my tummy was showing while I was running....YEP, that’s why mama tucked it into her workout pants.
2) Same daughter asked me why I was pretending to sit in a chair. I told her it was an exercise for strong legs (thanks @flexitpink) and she immediately had to come join me.

My main motivator is always my children seeing a healthy, happy mama, but also teaching them that health and fitness can be fun too. It’s not about running. It’s about being active doing something you enjoy.
