Went for an early morning hike up to the khamsum yuelley namgyal chorten. its hilltop location, plus the fact that the multi-story temple’s roof is open, offers some very fine views of the surrounding valley. the chorten (shrine) was consecrated in 1999, and is dedicated to protecting the country and the current, fifth king. afterwards we went for a walk across bhutan’s longest suspension bridge, near the temple. it got quite windy at the middle of the bridge, as you can probably tell looking at the prayer flags.
