Yesterday i had the privilege of dropping off a dream seed (of sorts) to a man who is already cultivating and harvesting my dream!! 😂 ok, enough with the farming analogies. 😂
i met gary malkin, current owner of kaufman shoes (named after his grandfather), at the buntyn artwalk. i invited him and his sweet wife into my booth for a closer look and they accepted. then they locked in on a piece i call city united. they loved it because it spoke of their mission as business owners in our city. however, the colors were all wrong for his shop. he had just had his store completely re-designed to celebrate their 70th year in business! instead of black, memphis blue, silver and gray he needed brown, teal and pale green. he requested a custom piece for his shop, and i couldn't be happier to have a piece of my artwork, a seedling of the mission i am on as an artist, planted in a very influential shop in our city!
just look at the beautiful diversity in his staff! .
if you need a completely amazing pair of shoes and you love doing business with local with people who exemplify great character, value and service, you will love kaufman shoes!! 6515 poplar ave.
