this is the third photo in the photo series. here we have a closer view of the female subject. her eyes and nose are covered by a kain batik, symbolizing the ideal woman of pre-modern malaysia - a woman that has been stripped away of her identity and her individuality as the eyes are said to be a window to the soul. the mouth being exposed symbolizes how women were seen back in the olden days and in some cases; now - simply a dehumanized being who’s sole purpose is to serve every single lustful deed thrown at them by disgusting men as the mouth represents a woman’s sexuality.
