Photography hack: the best images are ones that are simple and have breathing room. try to find the simplest composition of critical elements possible. it’s no different than walking into a super cluttered house versus walking into a clean minimalistic space with very few items to distract you.

kirkjufell (icelandic for 'church mountain') is a 463m high peak on the north coast of snæfellsnes peninsula. some may remember, this was one of the filming locations for game of thrones season 6 & 7 and notably so, as it's easily one of the most photogenic scenes this incredible country has to offer - and the reason why we visit every time we go to iceland. join us on our next trip! ◾️ click the link in our bio to find out more about our upcoming workshops around the world! join us in iceland in september! 😎✌🏼 ◾️image taken by workshop team leader @dkphotographyau
this is one of our favourite places on the snæfellsnes peninsula!
gatklettur is an extraordinary columnar basalt rock arch. this breathtaking seaside cliff formation looks almost as though an artist had created it. after a very big night of chasing the northern lights we found ourselves here.
shortly before we arrived there, we noticed some colour in the sky & that an good sunrise looked imminent. we rushed back & decided to do a 7 min long exposure in hope of getting a colourful/streaky sky. strangely enough, the ocean had that long exposure look, but not the sky as it barely moved in that time! .
