Inebriated/honesty post: hopefully everyone is sleep. lol prior to chasing this debt free goal i lived a wild life. for the most part whatever i wanted i could afford in cash, i just chose to do things recklessly due to ignorance. my credit file has been locked for years thanks to identity theft and i stopped adding debt like 2 or 3 years ago after i began educating myself. my beautiful wife on the other hand is something different but i can't pass judgment because i was once there myself 10x (we had separate finances and i make 3x more than her). i'm one of the few that stopped saving/investing during our journey, been gazelle intense paying about 50% of our income towards debt including everyday bills so we can get out of debt asap. we should be debt free by feb 2019 but besides continuing to stick to the baby steps my plan is to go right back to how i was living before but much smarter/frugal. continuing to pay cash for trips, increasing b**w money much more than our current $50 each every 2 weeks but sticking to a budget which we never had before. long story short, i'm gonna enjoy life while i can but building a legacy while i do.
beyond thankful for the debt free community. big shovel, small shovel....you win i win and vice versa. thanks for the inspiration and yes personal finance is personal but it's much more fun when everyone has similar personal goals as you! 🖖🏾 .
