I didn’t think i knew those people in the right corner of this beautiful sunset capture in rome(swipe right to see). but shortly after that photo was taken we had the honor of meeting one of the really inspiring people at that table. his name is #billmurray
. who else is a fan? 🙋♀️🙋♂️
my dad and i often bonded over bill’s movies. and this week it will be 17 years since my dad passed away in his early 40’s. one fear he had was not being remembered for doing “anything major.” he explained this to me before passing away so that is why my business @travelitalianstyle
and my #tedx
talk was dedicated to him. ✨✨
i had often imagined what it would be like to meet bill and maybe tell him about my dad.
when i told @dreamofitaly
this story they decided we would work towards making this happen. well just one hour later #billmurray
was sitting next me at our table. kathy had told him my story and asked him to come say hello to me.
not only did he take the time to ask each of us our story, he also shared that his father also passed in his 40’s.
later in the evening he also allowed us to take this photo ✨✨ and to our surprise it was oscar winner #francesmcdormand
and director @accidentallywesanderson
( who were also at that table) were ready to assist in taking the photo for us. 😅
i’m the end i had regrets as i stumbled on my words. instead of explaining i am the ceo of a company i talked about my life living out of a suitcase. and i wasn’t quite camera ready either. 🤦♀️
but then it hit me. i didn’t need to prove anything with a photo, an outfit or explaining my travel business. i needed to just enjoy that moment and be grateful that bill murray stopped what he was doing to come say hello. and the best part is he now knows my dad was someone. ✨✨
someone that never had and major accomplishments on paper (or social). but who has passed his legend and lessons to me. and now will be impacting people worldwide way past his years!
✨✨ bill if you read this thanks for the ponza tips. also, my back up plan was to walk by you saying your movie lines until you noticed me. thanks for saving me the embarrassment of acting out #scrooged
