Warning⚠️ long post alert! 😣
so, i know a number of us may have seen this post at some point but i think it's totally apt for what i want to say.
i was reading exodus 4:1-5 a while back and i was just reflecting on how moses' rod ended up being an instrument of deliverance. like this rod was just a piece of wood, he wouldn't have thought much of it, a rod he would have flung aside countless times until god drew his attention to it....
okay, you have dreams, but you don't wanna pursue them cos you feel it's not worth it, it's not tangible,oh someone already does what you want to do...but what do you have in your hand??? jjea started off as a dream but i waved it aside cos i was like shey it's jollof rice jor. ki ni big deal?? despite numerous encouragements from family and friends for years, i still kept that dream canned. i became content with just cooking for people for free, even though they'd eat my food and be like are you sure you won't turn this to a business,i'd just snort and laugh in response. somehow, i had settled and was living a watered down version of my dream.
all i can say is thank god for god. i eventually took that step, and it's been so fulfilling.
i put up a post a few days ago, asking about bringing jjea to lagos and i got a lot of encouraging responses. someone however pm'd me about it saying 'you want to take sand to a desert' my response was 'why ever not'. yes, lagos is the home of jollof but no one makes jollof like jjea. no one can do it like you do it. own your dream and bring it to reality. what if you fall you ask...my darling what if you fly??? do it even if you have to do it afraid, just do it!
end of long post. lol! have a fulfilling week people. lots of love, jjea 💕 #dream #dontstopatdreaming #makeithappen #justdoit #jjeamotivation #jjeatakingover #issamovement
