Yesterday i posted about doing my second, 3-day egg fast. the main reason for this was that last week i got into the mode of overeating and skipping workouts.
let me be honest. i made it exactly two meals this time! for dinner last night, i was making bacon to go with my husband’s eggs and i “accidentally,” made too much. so, i had bacon and eggs. here’s the thing though: i’m not mad about it.

here is why i’m not mad: i didn’t over eat yesterday and i don’t have the desire to today.
i also dropped the 3-4 pounds water weight i accumulated last week (yes i realize it will fluctuate this week-but that’s not the point!)
any of you who regularly follow my posts know that working out is a big priority for me. i had fallen off the workout bandwagon last week, and yesterday i had to stop my workout because i had no energy. so, the egg fast was not working in my favor.
and, the final reason i’m not mad is the #transformation
part of it. in the past, i would beat myself up over being a “failure.” come on tanya, you only could make it for 2/3rds of a day? you are such a loser, etc.
but, today i’m thinking...good job tanya, you actually listened to your body. and, the egg fast is not my lifestyle plan, keto is. i’m still living a ketogenic lifestyle. i haven’t given up, i just needed to get back to the basics.
and, i’ve realized that “failing” is important, because if you aren’t experiencing failures you also aren’t working toward anything. life is all about trial and error. so, don’t ever say you can’t do something because you are afraid that you won’t be able to. give yourself a chance. and, when you do fail, know that you are learning something to help you for next time.
