A seagull flying over pangong tso lake, ladakh. these birds just add to the splendour of the serene landscape.
pangong tso, the largest lake in the himalayas, stretches for some 130 km, with a width of two to six km. more than 60% of the lake lies in tibet and just the rest in india.
this beautifully fascinating lake changes colors from hues of blues to that of greens, every moment. the sparkling water is actually brackish in nature and does not support much life around. the lake is open to visitors only from may till september as the winters are really harsh and the lake freezes.
