I realized i haven’t done a #fridayintroductions
in awhile, so i figured it’s about time! hi there! i’m kate 👋🏻✋🏻👋🏻. i was a photographer in charleston, sc before i started becoming “allergic” to everything on the planet - including water (which is called aquagenic urticaria 😉.) i have a long list of medical conditions, but i strongly believe the lord can heal (he’s healed me once completely before - just ask me about my testimony! 🙌🏻 ) ⚪
i am currently a graduate student at boston university, pursing my masters of science in health communication. i plan to work with physicians who specialize in autonomic dysfunction - specifically mast cell activation syndrome, pots, and eds. i also have dreams to eventually go to pa school. ⚪
i love to take the road less traveled and explore areas people don’t usually go to. my favorite thing is going off the beaten path and striking up conversations with strangers - especially older adults! i love hearing stories from when people grew up, and getting the opportunity to hear their wisdom. ⚪
i’ll never turn down an invite to be on the water or go camping - it’s what makes me feel alive. ⚪
i hope to start a virtual bible study soon for women who are chronically ill! ⚪
my favorite food is chicken wings (all flats with mild sauce, ranch and celery 😂) but i don’t like wings that are too squishy/thick. ⚪
i will also never turn down an opportunity to go thrift shopping (i used to despise it ‘cuz growing up my parents dragged me to every goodwill/thrift store/ yard sale known to man kind,) but now i think it’s so fun! (oh, sheesh... i’m becoming my parents 🤦♀️.) ⚪
lastly, we have a 1993 airstream classic rv bus that we’re restoring. to follow along on that journey, head over to @carolinaairstream.
(new name coming soon 😂)
that’s all for now! ⚪
what new things have you been up to, or what’s an accomplishment that you’re proud of!?
