5 minute challenge
next time you're out for a walk, try this simple technique, it will help you connect more deeply with the world around you. it involves lying down so it should appeal to many!
find a quiet space in nature to rest for a moment, maybe under some trees or next to a stream. if the ground is wet, bring a blanket or something to lie on. set an alarm for 5 minutes. lie down on your back and observe what's in front of you, be it trees or sky and really allow yourself to soak up the scene, a different way of looking at things.
then, close your eyes and start to feel the ground beneath you. starting with your head, become aware of where your body is touching the ground and consider how the ground beneath supports you - how nature supports you. written your way down your body, relaxing each part as you go.
it's a great grounding practice!
