I used to take pride in being part of the "just say yes" club, but sometimes there comes a season that you also need to just say no. we're often afraid to say no because we think we'll be missing out on an opportunity, or we're worried we'll offend or disappoint someone else, but i'm learning that saying no is a form of self-love. being true to yourself often means rejecting what's not right for you just as much as choosing what is right. or it can even be saying no to something that is right, but that's just not the right time.
recently some things i've said no to:
✧ travel invitations that would make my schedule way too hectic and not allow me the room to rest that i'm realizing i truly need
✧ brand collaborations that don't excite me to my core
✧ business favors for acquaintances that drain my time and resources
if you had to honestly evaluate if you're saying no enough, what would that look like? let's celebrate the awesomeness of our "no's" below. what's something you said no to this week so far?
things i could do a better job of saying no to: all of the pasteis de nata and yummy gelato in portugal 😏
