Hundreds of narrow wooden boats stocked full of brightly coloured fruit and vegetables gather together in a tiny space to create a floating marketplace. villagers flock to the river’s shoreline where more than 500 of these vessels, crewed by local women who wear vivid pink, blue, and orange headscarves, trade their produce. circular woven baskets in the boats contain limes, oranges, bananas, jackfruit, melons and pineapples, as well as various leafy green vegetables. these spectacular aerial images were captured by photographer fauzan maududdin from a bridge overlooking the martapura river in the village of lok baintan in south borneo, indonesia. the 39-year-old, who is a government employee from amuntai city, indonesia, said: “when i first arrived at about five o’clock in the morning, lots of boats were already there.
