Another one of the ig spot that i finally made it to and the food really surpassed my expectations. tried many different teas that they had to offer, my favourite was the royal flush. the tea started off with a comté cheese moreau with 63 degree egg yolk, comté cheese soldiers. then came the awesome caviar man to serve us a spoon full of sturgeon caviar. the sandwiches were on point, my favourite is the croque d’york which is wrapped in a yellow ribbon. the foie grad tatelette really surprised me as someone who doesn’t usually enjoy foie gras. the eggs truffle gougère is another surprising one, the rich and creamy egg mayo with the aroma of truffle exploded in my mouth.
the scones were not the best i’ve had but they’re above average, i really liked the organic fog jam though.
of the sweets, i liked the strawberry cheesecake the most as it is not overly cheesy and is slightly sour making it a really light treat. to end, we had the traditional victoria sponge, which is possibly the best i’ve had. the cream is really light with a hint of lemon, and the perfect amount of strawberry jam.
this is not just a ig worthy place, it’s a place to relax with the perfect ambiance and delicate pastries.
