for the first time in two years we got a date weekend here on the farm. the kids were with friends and we decided on a staycation because we have some rockin’ local restaurants (@backyardforestville @ramengaijin @kosho_sushi
) we wanted to support and our bed is too comfy to trade for a hotel! 🤣
a couple weeks ago we got inspired by @grillin_with_dad
when he used the @kowsteaks
wagu beef to create steak tartare. after looking into @kowsteaks
we were really impressed with their farming practices and how they were preserving a very special breed of cows. 💕
we sprung for a box of the beef from them and friday night we stayed in and created our own tartare with our quail eggs and ooohhhhhh mmmmyyyy goodness! the steak was so tender it was like eating an avocado. it is awesome to be able to support good people doing a good thing while eating something super yummy!
