Do you remember back in 2011 when instagram was just a place to share artsy af photos? i used to throw on that x-pro filter onto all my pics and feel like a pro photographer. 🤣
and now years later, instagram has become a zoo! there’s so much pressure to maintain a certain image that now all i see on my explore page is mega-edited, super-staged and absolutely perfect photos that leave me thinking “damn do these people have a pro photographer following them around?! what happened to the x-pro filter?!” 😅
even when i look at my own page, i see that i’ve fallen into the trap of trying to make every single post perfectly “on-brand.” 😬
👉 i’m curious, do you like seeing more professional photos on instagram or the more natural, real cellphone pics???
i want to start sharing more photos of my day-to-day life and what better place to start than with a picture of my birthgiver, my best friend, and the light of my life. 😍
yesterday was her birthday and we went out for dinner with my step-dad (who’s not a pro photographer, but i think he did a good job, right?! 😉).
i’m endlessly grateful for these precious moments celebrating my mama and the normal iphone pic that allowed me to capture it and share it with you.
last night, i asked my mom what the highlight of her year was and she said “mary coming back from canada.” 😭😭
thank you, @lenascupoftea
for bringing me to life and continuing to give me life every single day. 🙏 you are a connected, loving and passionate light in this world.
i love you endlessly, cherish you always and treasure you forever.♥️
please go wish @lenascupoftea
a happy birthday 🎉 she only has one picture on her ig so just leave a comment for her there! 😘
