Now i'm deciding to share some of my favorite movie characters from 2016. whether the performance is just amazingly real or the character just has such a dominate presence on screen, these are the best ones i saw from last year. (no particular order)
inquisitor inoue - silence: definitely the best villain i saw in 2016. he's a creepy type of evil that makes you more uneasy rather than afraid while watching him. but it's still extremely effective!
holland march - the nice guys: one of my favorite performances from gosling! he is extremely funny to watch in every scene, and his antics are definitely ones to be remembered.
marcus hamilton - hell or high water: this character is just down right cool! he has a dominant and irresistible swagger that only jeff bridges can pull off. he seems to be born for this role; and we're all better off having seen him be in it.
lee chandler - manchester by the sea: casey affleck delivers an extremely real and heartbreaking performance that will stick with me. he makes his character as believable as possible that i can't help but think he is one of the best characters i've seen in 2016 and definitely the most relatable.
laura - moonlight: hands down the best female performance i saw in 2016. she is insane yet she pulls some sadness out of you towards the end that shows her range. she was the most unpredictable character i saw last year which makes her one of the best.
thoughts? what original characters from 2016 stuck with you the most?
