WHATS YOUR BIGGEST TAKEAWAY FROM LAST YEAR? ❤️🌈 I’ve made a list of mine for posterity and accountability! What’s your plans for 2019? .

1. GET SOME REST!!! Last year was a huge learning curve for me... ❤️and looking back there’s been a huge change in how I work and thanks to all your amazing support I have the most stable income I’ve ever had as a creative ❤️but...I gotta admit, I worked some insane hours last year 😬so without a doubt the biggest takeaway from last year for me is to give myself a break! ❤️🥰I still don’t quite know how I’m gonna fit in work/kids & rest - but this year its jumped to the top of my list above all my ambitions for the year ❤️ Cause if I’m not rested and in good health I can’t actually enjoy my accomplishments 🥰 .

2. THE BIG EVENT IN MY CALENDAR! As far as creating goes my favourite design from all of last year was my skeleton pin 💀❤️seeing that in the flesh was such a buzz!!! It’s taken me 2 years to pinpoint but I reckon Halloween, not Xmas, is the main event of the year I wanna keep building on❤️
.

3. KEEP CALM & SOCIALISE ON! So... I’m not always fab at being social...hello awkward! 🤣😂 but meeting up with pals last year made me so happy - so I’m defo gonna keep making time for meet-ups with pals in 2019! Er hello @incolourfulcompany .

4. COLLAB LIKE CRAZY! Creating with other members of the creative community was such a thrill throughout last year... so I’m happy to say this years plans include collabs with other pin and jewellery designers that I’m just freakin out about!!! 🌈🎉🌈 .

5. FOLLOW THAT CRAZY IDEA! Yep... that awesome talk from Tiffany Hann at @blogtacular has been forefront in my mind since I heard it...So as well as continuing in pin design I’m hoping 🤞🤞🤞to delve into new areas I’ve always wanted to... and I’m so excited that my first collab in kids clothing will be with my pal @wonder.land.craft 😘 .

Right now I’m enjoying taking things slow and steady and not taking on too much (back to point number 1!) I’ve got my fingers crossed for 2019! What’s your 2018 takeaways?

New year, new photos 🙌 Thank you @theevangelinelane for taking new photos of me! We haven’t done this since 2016 and as it turns out I’m still just as AWKWARD. Even 1/2 a bottle of my fav Sauvignon Blanc didn’t help ease the pain. Luckily, Evangeline is a total pro and nailed it anyway! THANK YOU!! 📋#artandsoulevents 📸#evangelinelane

Apparently my work day needs a break. Silly fluffs! Who else has a desk that looks like this while working? Snacks galore, so many beverages, and planners taking up so much room! [And all of these snacks and things were featured in my 2018 favorites YouTube.com/kwelch006 video! @bienasnacks Honey Roasted Chickpeas, @justeakenya African Chai, @justins Cashew Butter Cups, @brewdrkombucha, and a @oldpinecandleco Summit candle!]t

"glimpse" alc ink on 5x7 yupo

this piece was a fun little study in simplicity. it is just one color with the smallest glimpse of brass. 😍✨💙 happy almost friday!!!!! 🎉 ( a v a i l a b l e, finished in resin for $57)
During the holidays, I was lucky enough to receive a box full of wonderful yarns from @weareknitters and when I did the unboxing in my stories, I got a lot of questions regarding which ones could work for punch needle so here’s a little sample I made with each type!
〰️My faves are The Petite Wool and The Meriwool (but The Meripaca and The Wave Wool works too!)
〰️The bottom one is The Wool and even if it looks great, it was really too thick for the needle and I had to pull on the yarn in the back for it to work so I wouldn’t recommend it (but it remains my fave to weave with 😉 so fluffy and soft!)
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Struggling with content creation? Well you’re about to become the real MPV (Most Valuable Planner) 🏆📝😉
.
When it comes to creating content, planning is key 🗝 And in order to consistently crank out awesome content, you need a strategy and a content calendar 🗓
.
Planning out your posts a week or month in advance keeps you consistent, helps you focus, and saves all kinds of time and energy ⏰
.
Y’all ready?! Let’s do thisss 💃🏼
.
STEP 1 🗯 CHOOSE A VARITY OF TOPICS
.
Be sure you don’t only talk about your products or services 🙅🏼‍♀️ You want your brand to be relatable, so if you only share what you’re selling, your audience will have trouble connecting with you, and this makes it really difficult to establish trust. So mix it up! And whatever topics/themes you choose, be sure to provide value and share who YOU are...not just what you sell.
.
STEP 2 📆 CHOOSE YOUR DAYS OF THE WEEK
.
If posting every day sounds overwhelming, you’re in luck! As long as you are showing up on stories and engaging, posting to your feed 4-5 times a week is plenty. Always remember...quality over quantity 💕 And to make it easier, post content on the same days every week and give each of those those days a different content topic from Step 1 ☝🏼 For example, make Monday a quote, Tuesday a tip, Wednesday a behind the scenes post, and so on. And when you have a new product you’re offering or there’s a fun national holiday coming up, move one of your days around. Keep your calendar flexible so you don’t miss anything 👀
.
STEP 3 📝 CREATE CREATE CREATE
.
Now that you have a guideline, it’s time to write 🖋 Go to your creative space (for me it’s a cozy nook in my house or a busy coffee shop), download my Strategy Freebie from my website (link in bio), or DM me for my blank content calendar, and start brainstorming! Batch your work and you’ll have an entire week of content and be flexin’ on the gram like ayyyyye. (Sorry, been dying to drop a little Cardi B lyric on here and saw my chance and went for it.)
.
Tell me...do you have a content calendar?! What’s your favorite type of content to write? ❤️
.
