Presenting to the virtual noodle party, aglio cacio e pepe with prawns.
it's a good time as any to take a break and have a much needed therapy session....
that is, a noodle therapy session.
i have always shied away from making pasta at home, using numerous excuses; there's no time, i'm too busy, it's too hard... the list goes on. nowadays, all we have seem to have is time and restless hands.
so since the lovely @theciaofandiary
shared her little video, with the easiest pasta recipe and also how to make the simplest pasta shape; pici, there was no time like the present! no more excuses! it was time to take my hands and mind away from studying and get some much needed noodle therapy! it's time to paaartttay! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
pasta aglio e olio, and cacio e pepe are two of my favourite, and simplest pasta dishes that have ever been created. so, i decided to combine my two loves. they both need very little to be so delicious and satisfying. i added some prawns which i found in my freezer too, because you know, this girl loves her proteins!
it was noodles for days, as far as the eye can see! no, not really. just the perfect amount for my parents and i for lunch!👌🏻😂
oh, so good! pici, coated with a light and smooth, cheesey garlicky sauce, followed by the gradual hits from the homemade chili flakes. yum! 🤤😋
today's meal will always remind me of how generous wendy has been, to share with all of us how to make this very simple and yet nourishing dish, during this time when some of us may be struggling to buy the basic essentials; flour, pasta and rice, to feed hungry bellies. thank you, 二姐❤️
it's not too late to join the virtual noodle party, where we all celebrate love, diversity and unity! there's plenty of noodles to go around! so, bring your dish along, with #allyounoodislove
and tag/tap ( #socialdistancing
)the lovely hostess @theciaofandiary
on her virtual shoulder 😉 much love ❤️
