Contrary to popular belief, the holiday season is the best time to make a deal on real estate. most people are focused on the holidays, have begun wrapping up 2017 and started thinking about their resolutions and goals for 2018. they forget that the year is not over and there is still time to close a deal.
i always tell my office if they want to feel truly accomplished and end the year on a high note, they need to to go out and seize the opportunity. close a deal during the last 2 to 3 weeks of the year. the logic behind it is simple, while many people have shut their engines off and are focused on other things, the landscape is less competitive. if there is a seller out there that is motivated to sell by year end and you show up at their door step ready to make a deal, you will close that deal! with fewer buyers ready to act with immediacy, you will get it done. after new year's everyone is back at work, competition elevates and there is less urgency. it is actually harder to make a deal.
