Many people think that i am lucky to be on a paradise island with this whole covid-19 situation.
well, let me tell you: social distancing is everywhere, everything is closed, nothing to do, and stay home. no, we are not going to the beach! not even to the pool.
but you know what i like about this whole quarantine thing? the nap after breakfast.
yes, it's ridiculous, but in these times, we need to find things we "enjoy" and are grateful for.
first thing first, i am grateful for life and health. because this coronash*t is proving everyday that life and health are not to be taken for granted. we never know what tomorrow will bring.
be thankful. and find gratitude in the smallest things.
be grateful for a roof over your head and food on the table.
be grateful for quarantine with family or friends.
for wifi, tv, music, netflix.
or just for electricity and running water. yes, it's 2020, but this is not granted for everyone. unfortunately.
be grateful for being in a safe place.
of course, it is easier to complain. and yes, we all want to go out, go shopping, party, see our friends, go to the beach, travel.
and that's all we care about.
while others are suffering. and others working hard to save us.
so right now, i am just grateful for a good weather and a view that i am both enjoying from my balcony.
let's take this time to enjoy the little things and rethink the value of life.
nothing is granted.
