Friday saw us talk about giving of yourself without expecting anything in return. this is primarily about kindness.
for each of us, we have a tendency to give too much. cara is often telling me that i go above and beyond for most people, specifically our members at the gym. and yes, i do, and this comes out of a place of kindness. i care about our members and i want to offer all that i can.
what we deliver to our members involves time and effort. we attest to create training programs, nutrition plans, and content that is of the highest quality, utilising the most up-to-date methods and research.
you come to the gym and have our coaches take you through a gym session. you sign up to a 12 week nutrition plan and are given weekly meal plans to follow. what you receive involves a lot more than you realise. behind the scenes, we are constantly evolving training schedules and programs to maximise the results from your time spent in the gym, we are updating our knowledge of best practices, and nutrition guidelines.
we may not be in the gym everyday, but that doesn’t mean that we are not talking to members, answering questions, organising rosters and weekly programs, and forward planning. at the same time, we are reaching out to members, checking in with them, and taking the time to touch base with individuals who might be struggling.
as any business owner knows, staying on top of all this is exhausting. we chose to give, even if at times, this is stretching ourselves thin.
what i have realised through covid-19 is that i need to be more aware of my own limitations. to give to myself that which i would give to others. time. energy. patience. kindness.
