This perspective is a hard one to commit to. what if you are in a car accident, are you still going to love him? what if he takes a loved one away from you, are you still going to love him? what if he takes your health away from you, are you still going to love him? what if he takes your wealth away from you, are you still going to love him? .
remember, i never said this would be easy, i only said, it would be worth it. .
a relationship with god is never easy, especially when we do not understand what he is doing or allowing to be done, and instead we have to "trust" him. .
trusting god is easier to do the better you know him. you see, if you know him to be loving, kind, generous, merciful, gracious, forgiving, and so much more. then, when these challenges come a long you can look at them and compare them to what you know of him and say, "i don't know the why lord, but i know you love me, and that is enough for now!" .
god never wants to hurt you, he always wants to grow you. we just need to learn to cooperate with him, partner with him and trust him in what he is doing in our lives. when we do this, we find ourselves saying, father, no matter what, i'm going to love you! .
