I have done this one time before, but i wanted to do it again because of how much i love these pictures.
they show modern day people in their modern lives living and playing in the same places that some of the most iconic historical occurrences happened.
in this instance, it is the crashing of the hindenburg in 1937 and the storming of the normandy beaches on d-day on june 6th of 1944.
this man walks his dog in peace on the same piece of ground that the massive airship crash and explode, killing 36 people of the 97 onboard.
what looks like a women and her daughter are playing in the calm and peaceful waves of normandy. these are same beaches that allied soldiers stormed against the defenses of the german atlantic wall, and these clear waters were once stained blood red.
i will keep this caption short because there isn't much to discuss and it's much better to just observe the picture.
